# Create a Xero App and Connect OOMOL

Open [OOMOL App Connections](https://console.oomol.com/connections), find the app, and choose **Add account**. Follow these steps when asked to provide your own app credentials. You will need an account that can create or manage the app on the provider’s website; ask your administrator for help if you cannot access those settings.

## 1. Create or open the app

1. Sign in to [Xero](https://developer.xero.com/myapps).
2. Choose **New app** in My Apps. Enter an app name and website, and select **Web app** as the integration type.

## 2. Set the callback URL

In the account form, copy the full **Redirect URI**. If an authentication method is shown, choose OAuth2. Paste it into **OAuth 2.0 redirect URI** in the provider’s app settings and save. Keep the address unchanged, including its path and trailing slash.

## 3. Save the credentials

Open the app’s **Configuration**, copy the client ID, and generate a client secret.

In OOMOL’s OAuth client configuration, paste **Client ID** into **Client ID** and **Client secret** into **Client Secret**, then save.

## 4. Connect your account

OOMOL supplies the permissions needed for the connection. Review the access requested on the Xero authorization page before approving it.

1. In OOMOL, open the connection settings and continue with OAuth2.
2. Sign in to Xero, select the organization you want to connect, and approve access.
3. Return to OOMOL and confirm that the account is connected. Read the organization information and check its name.

## If you cannot connect

If Xero reports invalid permissions, check that the app type is **Web app**. If the problem persists, send the error message to OOMOL support.

If your organization is unavailable, ask its administrator to check your access. To use a different organization, reconnect and select it on Xero’s authorization page.
