# Create a Zendesk App and Connect OOMOL

Open [OOMOL App Connections](https://console.oomol.com/connections), find the app, and choose **Add account**. Follow these steps when asked to provide your own app credentials. You will need an account that can create or manage the app on the provider’s website; ask your administrator for help if you cannot access those settings.

## 1. Create or open the app

1. Sign in to [Zendesk](https://www.zendesk.com/login/).
2. Sign in as a Zendesk administrator. In **Admin Center**, open **Apps and integrations > APIs > OAuth clients** and add a client. Enter a name and choose **Confidential** as the client kind.

## 2. Set the callback URL

In the account form, copy the full **Redirect URI**. If an authentication method is shown, choose OAuth2. Paste it into **Redirect URLs** in the provider’s app settings and save. Keep the address unchanged, including its path and trailing slash.

## 3. Save the credentials

Copy **Unique identifier** as the client ID. Save the client and copy the complete **Secret** while it is displayed. Allow **read** and **write** scopes for the operations you need.

In OOMOL’s OAuth client configuration, paste **Unique identifier** into **Client ID** and **Secret** into **Client Secret**, then save.

## 4. Connect your account

1. In OOMOL, open the connection settings and continue with OAuth2.
2. In OOMOL’s **Subdomain** field, enter only the account prefix: for **acme.zendesk.com**, enter **acme**. Sign in to that Zendesk account and approve access.
3. Return to OOMOL and confirm that the account is connected. Read your Zendesk user information and check the name and email address.

## If you cannot connect

If authorization fails, check the subdomain and unique identifier. If an operation is denied, ask an administrator to check your Zendesk role and the client’s allowed scopes.
