Frequently Asked Questions

Should I use Mermaid or XML?

Mermaid suits flowcharts, sequences and other supported diagram types. XML offers more control for cloud architecture, network layouts and specialized shapes.

How do I save the diagram?

Open the editor link, review the rendered diagram and save or export it in draw.io. The source is encoded in the link.

Does an empty error list prove the diagram is correct?

No. Mermaid is converted when the editor link opens, and the server checks XML for selected rendering issues. Inspect the rendered result to verify the content and layout.
