How should I choose the size and fit?

Provide the target width, height and output format. Bounds preserves the whole image within those limits; canvas uses the target canvas; cropping fills the requested dimensions and can remove edge content.

What can I inspect after processing?

The result includes input and output dimensions and formats, plus an output location when supplied. View the actual image to assess appearance; metadata alone does not establish visual quality.

How do I retrieve a pending edit later?

Keep the task ID from submission and use it to check the edit task. A submitted task is not the finished image.
