Frequently Asked Questions

How do I choose which lights change?

Use a LIFX selector for a light ID, group, or an explicitly requested set. Inspect the matching lights before changing them.

Can I choose brightness and a transition time?

Yes. State changes accept brightness and a duration in seconds.

Can I stop an effect without turning off the lights?

Yes. Effect shutdown has a separate choice for whether to power the lights off.
