Try a Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Task

Copy a prompt into your agent with the oo Skill installed. Add your page links and source notes before running it.

oo Skill Oracle Cloud Infrastructure

Inventory compartment resources

Read instances and their network connections for an infrastructure overview.

/oo Oracle Cloud Infrastructure: In OCI compartment [compartment], list instances and their network connections. Summarize states, shapes, and assigned addresses.

Analyze instance metric data

Discover available metrics and query the period relevant to your performance question.

/oo Oracle Cloud Infrastructure: Review [metric] in OCI compartment [compartment] during [time range]. Use the available monitoring metrics and explain changes and gaps.

Start Working with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure

Install OOMOL

Set up oo CLI and the oo Skill in your agent.
Install OOMOL →
Connect Oracle Cloud Infrastructure

Connect your tenancy and user OCIDs, API key fingerprint, paired PEM signing private key, region, and default compartment OCID. Supply the passphrase if the key is encrypted.
Connect Oracle Cloud Infrastructure →
Give Your Agent a Task

Use /oo with the pages to read, the changes to make, and where to save the result.

Choose Your Agent

Codex Claude Code Cursor Hermes

An OCI IAM user with an API signing key and policies permitting the requested resources.
The target OCI region and default compartment; realm can be specified when needed.
Resizing may restart an instance. Termination permanently removes it.

Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Tools

Inspect compute, networking, identity, and monitoring resources, or manage infrastructure when requested. Region, compartment, and account policies determine access.

Compute and host commands

Inspect images and instances, launch or resize instances, perform lifecycle actions, and run agent scripts.

Virtual networking

Inspect VCNs, subnets, interfaces, and security groups, or create VCNs and subnets.

Identity and monitoring

Inspect tenancy and compartment information, alarms, metric definitions, and aggregated metrics.

Frequently Asked Questions

How is access scoped?

The configured region, selected compartment, and your OCI permissions determine the resources available.

Can I run scripts on instances?

Yes, where Oracle Cloud Agent supports it and permissions allow. Scripts run with the agent account’s privileges; a wait ending does not prove the script stopped.
