Frequently Asked Questions

Is a tracking ID the same as a tracking number?

No. AfterShip assigns a record ID used to retrieve an existing tracking. The carrier tracking number is supplied when creating a tracking record.

What if the courier is unknown?

Courier detection can return candidates for a tracking number. Review the candidates before creating a record when more than one is possible.

Are delivery estimates guaranteed?

A summary can report the estimate in the tracking record. It reflects AfterShip’s data and should be distinguished from a confirmed delivery time.
