Does editing an event description change the collected data?

It changes the event’s metadata, such as its description. It does not create captured events or rewrite historical event rows.

Can I connect without a personal API key?

OAuth authorization is supported as an alternative to a personal API key.

Can I compare product usage over two periods?

Yes. Specify the project, event, dates, and whether you want event counts or unique users. The assistant can run a query and explain the returned results; a change in usage alone does not establish its cause.
