Frequently Asked Questions

Can I specify a country?

Yes. Provide the country so the assistant can use its two-letter country code to localize the estimate.

What happens when a name has no estimate?

The result can contain an unknown gender and absent probability. Keep it as unknown rather than assigning a category.

How should I read the probability?

Read it with the sample count and country context. It describes a name-based statistical estimate and should not be presented as a fact about a person.
