Wanta Create an Oura App and Connect OOMOL
Open OOMOL App Connections, find the app, and choose Add account. Follow these steps when asked to provide your own app credentials. You will need an account that can create or manage the app on the provider’s website; ask your administrator for help if you cannot access those settings.
1. Create or open the app
- Sign in to Oura.
- Sign in with your Oura account, open My Applications, and create an application. Enter its name and website.
2. Set the callback URL
In the account form, copy the full Redirect URI. If an authentication method is shown, choose OAuth2. Paste it into Redirect URI in the provider’s app settings and save. Keep the address unchanged, including its path and trailing slash.
3. Save the credentials
Before copying the credentials, enable the data permissions in your Oura application settings that OOMOL requests. For sleep and activity summaries, enable daily; for heart rate, enable heartrate. Enable other data categories only as needed. You must also allow the corresponding data when you authorize your account.
Open the application details and copy the client credentials.
In OOMOL’s OAuth client configuration, paste Client ID into Client ID and Client Secret into Client Secret, then save.
4. Connect your account
- In OOMOL, open the connection settings and continue with OAuth2.
- Sign in with the Oura account that holds your ring data. Select the data you want to share on the consent page, such as sleep, activity, or heart rate.
- Return to OOMOL and confirm that the account is connected. Read your sleep summary for a date with synced data and compare it with the Oura app.
If you cannot connect
If data is missing or access is denied, check both the permissions enabled in the Oura application and those you allowed during authorization, then reconnect. If a date has no results, check that its data has synced to the Oura app. To connect more users than your app permits, submit the application for Oura review.
